Everything you need to know about our flight training

Private pilot program

If you always dreamed about flying this is where you start.
Our focus is on turning you into a great pilot in the safest and most efficient way possible.

The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hour of flight time to obtain your Private Pilot license. The national average is about 70 hours. The actual amount of hours each applicant ends up flying, depends on a lot of variables, but at Red Arrow, we strive to make the process as efficient as possible.

A normal applicant should expect:

  • 35 to 50 hours of total Flight time
  • 10 to 20 hours of Simulator
  • 30 to 40 hours of Flight Instruction
  • 15 to 20 hours of Ground Instruction
